A rundown, a web remote for your phone, a browser source and monitor mirroring, an optional API key with a connection log, custom buzzer sounds, an ends-at readout on the display, and a built-in manual.
- Rundown — a cue list in its own window (App ▸ Rundown…): name cues, set times and wrap-ups, GO fires the standby cue; actual run time and over/under are recorded per cue with show totals; optional auto-advance at zero; the live cue's name can appear on the display
- Web remote — the full remote in a browser on a phone or laptop at /remote, behind a PIN; signed-in devices are listed with a Disconnect Everyone button; the rundown is there too with a live preview of the display
- Browser source — /display paints the display in OBS, vMix or any browser, with ?bg=transparent for keying
- Mirror the display to any number of monitors (App ▸ Mirror To…), remembered and hot-plug aware
- Optional API key — set one and every request that changes something must carry it; status and events stay open so Companion feedback keeps working
- Connection Log window showing every request, who sent it and whether it was accepted, including web remote sign-ins
- Custom buzzer sound (MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A) with a volume slider
- Ends-at time on the display: "Ends 3:45:00 PM" while a countdown runs, "Ended" in red once it passes zero
- Blackout turns the display blue instead of black when the keying background is on
- No more caps on presets and quick messages; the remote stays the same size
- Help menu with a built-in manual (F1, also at /manual), API reference, keyboard shortcuts, website and support links
- Fixed: changing the API port could hang while Companion was connected; a port already in use is now refused instead of saved
- Fixed: adding time from Companion or the web remote showed double on the other remote
- Fixed: browser pages froze for a while after switching tabs; they now catch up the moment they come back
- Fixed: non-numeric API values could turn the clock into NaN:NaN
- Companion module 1.2.1 to match, with rundown actions and feedbacks and an API key field
Same-day fix for the message-beside-timer layout, plus smooth message transitions.
- Fixed: with "Keep timer visible" on, the message's red rule cut through the digits; the timer now sits cleanly above it
- Messages fade and slide in and out instead of popping, and the timer glides between its full and shared layouts
- Flipping "Keep timer visible" while a message is up slides the message between the two layouts
- A message shown beneath the timer is centred under the digits
- Blackout is still instant, and all transitions stay off with the blue keying background
The biggest update since launch: a more accurate timer engine, a stopwatch with milliseconds, a buzzer, messages that can sit beside the clock, a redesigned remote, smarter multi-monitor handling, and a much larger HTTP API.
- Wall-clock timer engine — the countdown is derived from the system clock, so it never loses seconds when the machine is busy or the display is in the background
- Overtime shows a leading minus sign and red digits on both the display and the remote
- Stopwatch with an optional milliseconds readout (MM:SS.mmm at 60 fps)
- Count down to a clock time — enter an end time and the countdown starts, in the display's time zone
- Ends-at readout on the remote while a countdown runs
- Buzzer at zero — three short beeps, with a confirm-first Test button
- Border flash at zero — a red glow pulses around the timer box in addition to the light
- Auto-message at zero (TIME'S UP by default) that clears itself when you add time
- Progress bar under the digits, colored to match the light
- Messages can sit beneath the timer instead of replacing it
- Quick messages — one-tap pills for the messages you use most
- Blackout — one button or the B key turns the display black instantly while the timer keeps running
- Corner clock — a small time-of-day clock on the display while a timer is showing
- Clock mode with a selectable time zone
- Redesigned remote with Countdown, Stopwatch, and Clock modes; fits a 13-inch laptop without scrolling
- Keyboard shortcuts: Space to start and stop, arrow keys to adjust time, B for blackout, Esc to retract a message
- All options are remembered across launches; global settings live in a new Options menu
- Display moves between monitors without losing the running timer; hot-plug an external monitor and it follows
- Cleaner fullscreen on macOS with no Spaces animation or menu bar peek
- HTTP API: Server-Sent Events at /api/events, plus endpoints for every new feature
- Built-in API reference at http://localhost:8088/ and under App ▸ API Reference…
- Checks for updates quietly at launch
- Fixed: display progress bar changed color one second behind the remote
- Fixed: Start was enabled on an empty countdown at first launch and counted straight into overtime
